The Old Course
This American classic weaves around lakes, through cypress and coastal pines, finishing on one of the highest ranked golf holes in the world.
A true links layout with an authentic Scottish soul, the Ocean’s three finishing holes have been lauded as among the best in course design.

Played ocean, it is a very good looking golf course. However, I was there just after a huge down pouring of rain and the drainage wasn't the best. Almost every shot was in casual water finding relief was hard. Bunkers were full of water, no run on fairways.
Having said that greens were running very true. Would've been good for a bit of good weather but was fun all the same!

Played the Ocean Course. I loved that it was fun beautiful and didn't kick my ass. A little more than I can afford, but I will definitely be back.

(Ocean Course) This was a great experience. I played it back-to-back on consecutive days. On the second day I hit the ocean side finishing holes right at sunset. It was awesome. Also, I recommend going to their website and signing up for their e-Club. It will give you a much better green fee rate.

This is for the Old Course. I don't really care much about the Ocean course. The Old Course has great design (you cannot hit driver on at least 4 of the Par 4 and 5 holes, and most holes make you think on the tee box, which is good. The greens are fast but not crazy, and more importantly, they are consistent. Overall, a fantastic course. The finishing hole is probably the most gorgeous hole I have ever played.

The Ocean Course is a pretty links style layout. The wind is the course's defense, but when it's calm, good scores are for the taking. The condition of the course is usually very good. The course is walkable.
The Old Course winds through houses and trees and is probably the tougher of the two courses. The holes are memorable and are framed well. The houses don't suffocate the course at all.
The finishing hole on the Old Course is more spectacular than than the finishing hole on the Ocean Course.
There is no driving range here, but the putting green and chipping area are top notch.

Beautiful course, well maintained. The ocean finish is spectacular, while the rest is merely very good. Aside from the ocean holes, the balance of this track weaves through a couple high end residential neighborhoods in Half Moon Bay. Struck me as strange that there was no driving range. Tough place to start my golf season, but fun nonetheless.
