The Challenge Golf Club

The Challenge Golf club, a four-star rated course by Golf Digest and recipient of the 2nd Best New Course in North Carolina in 1997 awarded by North Carolina Golf Magazine Panel. No matter what skill level you might be, The Challenge golf Club will immerse you with its beauty and challenge your skills each and every time you play. This 6935-yard championship par 72 layout features some of the most beautiful holes in all of golf. The course was created by Larry Waggoner and built on wooded rolling farmland adjacent to the Haw River. The farmland was part of the Waggoner family Farm (Hideaway Farms) and provides a scenic splendor of stunning natural beauty.

Wow nice sceenery. A beautiful layout. The fairways are smooth and fast. If you hit a low runner your going to roll long on them. I hit a few shotd that rolled 50 yards and out of fairway. the ruff is pretty thick but playable as long as you club up. The pace of play was terrible. A par 4 was under constuction so it played as a par 3. Overall i had a great time looking at the site lines of the course and playing exciting holes. I must say the finishing hole is my favorite.
