This 18-hole parkland-style course is located along the south bank of the Neuse River on Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point. Noted architect George Cobb did the original design of this course, while Clyde Johnston oversaw a redesign in 2003. The practice range is open 24 hours per day - unusual for any course anywhere.

Public plays is permitted, although advance booking is recommended, since this course is located on an active military base. The standard civilian walking rates are $21 weekdays and $23 weekends (carts are $13).

This is my home course for now. It's pretty nice. Just started playing golf a few months ago. Rates are really good, especially for active duty military. Very wide open, so fairways are pretty easy to hit.
