The Katke-Cousins Golf Course is deceptively difficult. Many forest lined holes, and hidden water hazards add up quickly. A lot of undulations from fairway to green, and on the greens as well.

The R&S Sharf Course is ranked #18 in Michigan by Golf Digest in 2007. Drastic elevation changes and wide fairways are reminiscent of other Rick Smith designs in Northern Michigan, such as Treetops.
