Raleigh Golf Association

Raleigh Golf Association was founded in 1929, the second oldest golf course in the Raleigh area. George W. Cobb did the original design of both courses, while architect David Postlethwaite oversaw a re-designed in 1998. RGA currently has 18 holes open to the public and nine holes that are designated private, but are open to the public at certain times.

Short course, but greens were in a very good condition albeit slow.

Reasonably priced with a friendly staff. There are starters and marshalls, however at times they are invisible and play pace can be slow at times. The course is in decent shape, good greens and fair fairways. The course is not overly long and is good for walking. There are are a few water holes, but most holes have pretty wide fairways and I rarely lose balls here. I've had an opportunity to play the shareholders 9 hole private course and generally speaking these holes a little better maintained than the 18 public holes. There is a putting and chipping green, but no driving range.
