Thompson Oaks Golf Course

This par 29 executive course is a David Kirscht design, owned and operated by the City of West Saint Paul.

Course hours will vary depending on daylight hours and weather conditions. It is primarily open from 6:30 a.m. to sunset, but will vary with the time of year. Tee times are available up to seven (7) days in advance.

Today was my first visit to this City of West St. Paul operated public course and as a new golfer was very pleased with Thompson Oaks. The staff were friendly, and the prices very reasonable. I hacked my way through the 9 holes of this par 29 course in 2 hours and still had 2 of my 3 balls with me when I left. Water does come into play on holes 3,5,7 and 9 with 5 and 9 requiring a tee shot over the water. A handful of bunkers are dotted around the course to catch the occasional loose shot. While this course may not challenge more experienced players, I was very happy as a novice golfer with the level of difficulty and I will definately return to play this course again.
