This attractive course opened in 2000 with a co-design between retired PGA Tour star Dr. Gil Morgan and the design firm of Lee Schmidt and Brian Curley. The course runs through the former Jensen Quarry, at the foot of the Jurupa Mountains outside Los Angeles, so steep walls of granite and fields of wildflowers contribute to the atmosphere.
Standard rates (with cart) are $65 Mondays through Thursdays, $75 Fridays, and $95 on weekends and holidays. Senior, twilight, and super-twilight rates are available.

Excellent layout, awesome scenery, attentive service, quick pace and reasonable price. What's not to love?

What a beautiful set of views on this course. One of the most scenic rounds of golf that I have played. Getting it for less than 1/2 through Golfnow.com mad it an even better value. I can't speak much to traditional hospitality, it was a week-day afternoon/evening and my only real interaction was with the cart guys, both before and after the round. Those 2 interactions were fantastic with conversation and engagement. Maybe a few more "tips" about aiming points and distances (lots of elevation change and angles) would have been helpful.

Beautiful course. First time at the Rock heard great things was not disappointed. Course in fine shape, greens very receptive and rather on the slow side. Would definitely go out to the Rock again

Really nice course with a beautiful view on almost every hole. The course is in great shape and gives you many options off the tee. Playing something other than driver off the tee is recommended on many of the holes to help you score as it is very easy to get in trouble if you are not straight.
All-in-all though, this course is a relative bargin and an excellent golfing experience. If I get back to the Southern California area again, I hope to play this course.
