Emerald Woods is a challenging 45-hole golf course with two 18-hole courses and a 9-hole, shorter length course called A Walk In The Park. The Pine Valley & St. Andrews course is a championship course with hilly and tight tree-lined fairways. You will also encounter water on all 18 holes. The undulating greens are guarded tightly with nice bunkers, which come into play on many of the holes. The Audrey & Heatherstone course has similar characteristics but not as demanding.

Fairways were simply awful, sprinkler heads in middle of greens.

Sprinkler heads in the middle of every green, enough said. Who thought that was a good idea???

To begin, I paid under $15 for 18 holes with a cart, that is a good deal on any course.
But the course was being aerated (front the day before and the back as I played), and the back was closed. That bothered me, since other courses post on GolfNow that aeration has recently happened, and I didn't play other courses because of that. Then to have to play the same nine twice on a course you have never played before is always a little discouraging (it would have been nice to know that going into the round, since other courses let you know).
Other than that, the course is flat and some what short but in good condition. I didn't have any bad lies in the fairway or rough. Seems like there is some drainage issues around the course. Basic yardage markers in the fairway (blue, white, and red stakes) and spray painted grass next to tee boxes for the par threes (this is just looks cheap, find a brick or a rock and use a stencil).
Like other reviews have said, good for juniors, seniors, and women, but not for advanced players.
**I only said not to recommend, because half the course was closed and just aerated. I didn't book a tee time other courses trying to avoid the same problem. The course needs to use the technology better, or else customers with be disappointed.

2011.08.01 2.5 / 5.0 I played audrys and heatherstone. same comments again with fairways needing work and greens playing soft needing a cut. i paid $23 for weekday with cart on teetimesavings.com.
2009.07.10 3.0 / 5.0 I played Pine Valley and St. Andrews. Same comments as my last round. The fairways could really use some work. The greens were soft underfoot but played anywhere from super slow to almost medium in speed. Bought todays round on www.golfus.com. It was a weekday twosome with cart for $43.

Played "A Walk in the Park" - 9 holes. the course is horrible, slow greens, and terrible fairways. But perfect for beginners or the family. Only $7 for 9 holes! I enjoyed it a lot, and I'm definitely going back. Also looking forward to their 18-hole courses, they look a lot nicer.
