This club now has two locations; this is the original location. (The club recently bought the former Washtenaw Country Club in Ypsilanti.) William Newcomb designed the Ann Arbor course, which is a heavily-wooded parkland-style course that opened in 1995 in a luxury residential community.
While Polo Fields is a private, non-equity country club, since 2009 they have had a "member for a day" program, where the general public can use the facility. While Polo Fields has some sculpted mounding that suggests a links feel, the course has a bit of water, wetlands, and stands of hardwood trees.
Access is from Interstate 94 at the Zeeb Road exit.

Immaculately kept course. I was impressed with the course design. Nice mix of playability with challenging shots, especially for a residential course. Homes really never were a burden to the course. Design seemed very rewarding to good tee shots with plenty of punishment for wayward ones. Thought the folks at the clubhouse were a little smug but an excellent playing day and an excellent course made everything all better.
