Arthur Hills designed all 27 holes here, which run over 350 acres of mature pine and oak trees. The first nine opened in 2000 while the remaining eighteen opened in 2001. Golf Digest ranked SHGC the 42nd-best public course in the nation.

One of the most scenic courses in Metro Detroit. Greens were not up to par for this caliber of course.Layout is challenging. Multiple blind tee shots that would played differently a second time.

We played holes 1-18 and it was amazing!! The layout is challenging and very cool to look at. The elevation changes made for some nice views and difficult approaches! Paid $55 and its worth even more. Will definitely play again and again.

Played 19-9. 19-27 is one of the most picturesque nine holes of golf that can be found in Michigan probably. Had a great time, even after the bad weather the course was in great shape.

Beautiful course. Interesting layout. The greens were disappointingly slow for a course this caliber. It was a holiday week so maybe somebody else took a holiday too. Fairways and bunkers were in good shape.

amazing course, very challenging

Up North feel which is great and the maintenance was good other than a few bunkers collapsing after just 12 years. Very strange layout for an Arthur Hills course but still a nice yet challenging one. I have seen lots of complaints about cost but it is on par with other $70 weekend courses. One of the best marked courses I have ever played for distances and directions. I think you can take off 4-6 strokes by playing a second time through. Played 2nd and 3rd nines.

Having a single rate mid-week ($65) is a bit out of line with the rest of SE Michigan. Many of the greens showed the stress of the Summer and were not in particularly good shape. The first 18 holes are great but a bit repetitive. Each hole features lots of evergreens bordering a roller coaster fairway that doglegs either left or right to a well bunkered green. Only one water hazard of any significance (#18).

Played holes 1-18 and the course is great. Every bit of the course was in immaculate shape, even the bunkers with all the rain recently. Felt like an up north course with the holes mostly alone.
