Scorecard Reviews/Comments Cedar Creek has the potential to be one of the greatest golf courses in Oklahoma. Despite the low budget of a state course, it will probably be one of the most beautiful and difficult courses you ever play, with extremely tight fairways and punishingly thick woods lurking just yards in the rough on nearly every hole. Feel fortunate if you come out of the course's own "Amen Corner," 14-16, less than 3 over. 14 is a devastating 439, but plays much longer, an uphill, dog-leg right, blind tee shot that leaves anything more than the slightest draw completetly irretrievable. Only the most long-ball hitters will find themselves hitting their second inside 200. 15 does not seem to be nearly the same distance as 14 by the scorecard, but looks can be deceiving. The reward for taking a driver hardly justifies the risk, as the only way it can find the fairway is to start 30 yds right of the fairway over the towering 80 ft pines. The smart plays limits the tee-shot to little more than a hybrid, leaving the second shot from at least 150 (likely more) onto an elevated green with no possibility of rolling one on. 16, the #1 handicap hole, also plays much longer than the card, with an island green sticking out onto the beautiful Broken Bow Lake. The more safety you take from the creek on the left side of the fairway, one quickly finds their second over 175 carry over water, not to mention the massive oak one is likely to find themselves behind if you're not careful to avoid it. In general, the course is layed-out with huge elavation changes, many multi-tiered greens, and some of the most punishing rough in Oklahoma. If you plan to play within 5 strokes of your handicap, you better bring your A-game. Location Cedar Creek Rd Broken Bow, OK 74728 Get Directions Nearby Courses:
