Golf Club at Shepherd Hills

I played this course about 15 years ago and i thought i'd come back since i had a free play through a gift. It's really not the best course around but the staff at least is friendly. I wouldn't play here at any time other than when it's $25. The rough is long and uncut, along with some of the tees. The greens are spongecake and inconsistent. They do roll pretty true though, where you hit is where it goes, just not always as far as you think it should. Overall a short course where you have to be strait in order to score. Some of the holes are cut pretty ragged though because i guess they don't cut and roll the greens as much as other places. Also, you need a gps just to get around the holes if you don't know where you're going.

Overall not my favorite course to play because it is to close to civilization. Greens are inconsistant meaning that some are faster than others and you can't geta real good read on them for pace. Hole 10 par 5 is a true par 5 because unless you take a chance in going over the big tree on the left and risk a back yard, you will not reach the green in 3.
