This club is located 40 miles east of Pittsburgh and is very famously associated with Arnold Palmer, who grew up playing the course with his father, Deacon, who helped design and create at least one of the greens. The club opened in 1920 with nine holes, but both Deacon and Arnold Palmer contributed to the design of the club's second nine, which debuted in 1964. (Palmer now owns the club outright.)

Latrobe CC *is* a private club, but as of 2012, they *do* welcome registered guests of the nearby SpringHill Suites Marriott Latrobe hotel, with advance booking.
