Located in Historic East Nashville, Shelby Golf Course opened in 1924. It has the distinction of being the first municipal golf course in Nashville. The eighteen-hole course is located in beautiful Shelby Park and incorporates rolling hills and picturesque landscape into your golfing experience. New bermuda tif dwarf greens were planted in April of 2006. All skill levels can enjoy a round at Shelby.

Course has a reputation of not being kept in the best condition. But I played August 1, 2008 and everything was in great condition. If there isn't enough rain I bet the course will suffer. Good news is that it's not overcrowded and they offer summer specials such as $20 for 18 holes with a cart. I shot my lowest round here of 79.
