Comanche Trail Golf Course is owned by the City of Amarillo . The original Tomahawk Course was opened in July 1990. The Tomahawk Course was designed by Charles Howard, Austin Texas.

The Arrowhead Course was opened in May 1999. The The layout was designed by CUPP Design, Atlanta GA. Both golf courses offer championship golf at affordable prices. The layouts are Scottish style links nestled in the Texas panhandle.

I have spent alot of money on this course. The staff at this course is more interested in joking around and being rude to customers. The way they set up course pace is one of the dumbest I have ever seen. The main cashier David is pretty rude and has lied to my face and denied a refund when i was charged for a cart for 18 when I only played 9 due to weather and pace of other players. I went for a refund and was stiffed again when I was told I was given a refund. I called the Pro George. George said he would take care of they young cashier and told me to see him for the rest of my game that I paid for. I havent been back since I went to Ross. I guess I will play my free 9 one day but after that if the customer service doesnt change I will continue to live on the south side of amarillo and drive to the north to play golf. Sorry if anyone doesnt agree with my comment, maybe you have had good service at the course.
