This attractive course is located in southern Orange County, less than two miles from the famous Mission San Juan Capistrano. This David Rainville design opened in 1967. The course found itself in the news on October 22, 2012, when a course marshal discovered a live, two-foot-long leopard shark thrashing around on the 12th tee. Based on the claw-marks, the shark was dropped on the course by a predatory bird that apparently changed its mind about having take-out seafood for lunch.
Shark sightings aside, the standard public rates (with cart) are $58 Mondays through Thursdays, $63 on Fridays, then $75 on weekends and holidays. Walking is permitted on Mondays through Wednesdays at $43. Early-bird, sliding twilight, and senior rates are also offered, as are memberships.

First time playing here. Thought it was a fun course. 1st hole has you going over water. Course knowledge will help your round.

not worth the fees charged. Book somewhere else.

Has trouble spots that can wreck a round. Decent price when discounted.

Nice greens. Balls break away from the mountain - sometimes seemingly uphill. Fairways could be maintained better. Parking is inadequate and you might end up parking in the dirt across the street. Great twilight and super twilight deals.

This course is a classic tree lined layout with many interesting holes. The staff and new club house are great.
