722 NW 24th Ave Amarillo, TX 79107-3016 www.PlayGolfAmarillo.com/?pag... 806.378.3086 Both courses at this facility are owned and operated by the City of Amarillo. What was originally known as the East Course, later the Old Course, closed in 2011 for a complete redesign by Texas-based architect John Colligan. In April of 2013, it reopened as the Mustang Course and now features double-green complexes at 2 & 4, 12 & 17, and 13 & 16. Colligan also addressed several safety problems by re-routing portions of several holes away from nearby residential streets. What is now the Wild Horse 18 began as a third nine in 1959; when the fourth nine was completed in 1978, that course was tagged the West Course. After closing in 2002 for a major renovation overseen by architect and former PGA Tour player D.A. Weibring, it reopened in 2004 as the Wild Horse 18. Course Details
Average Hole Difficulty
This Course no longer is existing. Play will be difficult between the houses in the middle of all of the old, forgotten fairways. Putting will be in someone's living room. Played 36 holes on my birthday without waiting or getting stuck behind anyone. The course staff were excellent, friendly and very helpful. It is hard to think that both ross rogers and comanchetrail are owned by the same city. There is no way to show the difference in the customer service between the two clubs. Your Review
