This well manicured layout features vast fairways and incredible elevations. The rolling terrain and native vegetation of this once thriving indigo and rice plantation makes for one of the most spectacular settings in golf. True Blue is a "must play" on your next visit to Myrtle Beach.

Dramatic shaping, elevated green platforms and hand-shaped bunkers make this a truly challenging course for all levels. The elevations make this a very unique course, as exemplified by hole #14, a 161-yard, par 3, which features a tee box nearly fifty feet above a green that is strategically placed between a huge waste area and a potentially-dangerous pot bunker. The course features six water holes and tree-lined fairways that have plenty of sand to avoid. The course itself has quite a bit of elevation changes, and cart paths that are kept out of sight and play.

This is one of the more difficult courses in the Myrtle Beach area. It's plenty long regardless of the tees you play and there are numerous hazards to negotiate on seemingly every hole. The fairways are wide and inviting off the tee, but if you are struggling with your driver like I did you are in for a long round. I played from the white tees and was forced to use a 7 wood off the tee because my driver continued to fail me. I was forced to hit long iron after long iron into every green which brought each green side bunker into play. This course was loaded with sand. I had 18 bunker shots during my round!! The conditions were disappointing given the cost and the hype. None of the bunkers had appeared to have been raked in weeks (I should know with as many as I was in) and the greens were the roughest I played at the beach. The course layout is challenging with a handful of interesting holes, but is not even in the same league as it's sister course, Caledonia.
