Gauntlet At Curtis Park

Whether you are a member or casual golfer, you'll enjoy our challenging 18-hole, par 72 championship golf course designed by P.B. Dye. The Gauntlet awards precision, where most holes are target-oriented, narrow and tree-lined. If you're looking for challenge, Hole number 4 (our signature hole) will provide it. Your tee shot must carry marsh to a very narrow landing area. The green has three tiers and is surrounded by Curtis Lake on the left and back and bunkers on the right.

I thought the layout of the course was great. It's not an overly long course, but is very challenging. You are punished for shots that are not placed accurately on the green.

The course allows walkers so there is a chance that you could be waiting. I even saw groups of 5-6 people.

I didn't think the course was in that great of shape. There were a lot of dead patches throughout the course, and even some of the greens had bare spots. The greens were very inconsistent. The first few were VERY slow and shaggy, and by the end of the round it seemed as if they were cut shorter and were lighting fast. I'm not sure if the shape of the course is due to it being so early in the season.
