I would never play this course again. My boyfriend and I were kicked off the course for being too slow. I am a beginner and he is an experienced golfer. We were on the 5th hole and it had taken us nearly an hour. Apparently one of the golfer's behind us went into the clubhouse to complain. I understand that experienced golfers do not want to wait for inexperienced golfers, and this is why we tried to wave them through on the third hole - (the only time we saw them waiting). This is not the reason we wonGÇÖt be going back, the reason why we wonGÇÖt be going back is because the owner was the rudest man I've ever encountered in my life. He came up to us on the green to inform us that we needed to let the golfers behind us through. He said that taking this long on a course is "ridiculous". When I informed him that I had never golfed there before and that I am new he said "you donGÇÖt belong should go to a driving range then!" He repeated that it was ridiculous to take this long and that other people want to enjoy their day. He humiliated me and when I told him that he didn't need to be so rude and then my boyfriend said GÇ£we paid like everyone elseGÇ¥ ... he said GÇ£ pick up your balls and go get a refundGÇ¥ At this point I told him that he was an asshole!

I can NOT believe that this man can run a business and that people actually golf there. I have been to a few other courses in Bowmanville and they are all WAY nicer courses with nicer conditions and WAY nicer staff. We didn't even see a drink cart once. Also, there is a sign that says "in order for the course to keep their fees down, golfers must purchase snacks and such from the clubhouse" If we donGÇÖt buy something from their snack bar, we pay more for golfing next time....what the hell is that?
We spoke to the men behind us on our way off the course and they informed us that they didn't like the person who went into complain and they were embarrassed to be golfing with him. He was a single golfer who was put with them. They also verified the fact that they only waited once.
It is not worth the money and the staff are miserable. Even when we went into get our money back - the ladies at the desk were rude to us.
