The Vineyard at Escondido's par-70, David Rainville designed course measures 6,531 yards from the blue tees. The scenic layout winds through acres of verdant wetlands with stunning mountain backdrops. Lush, rolling fairways meander peacefully along wildlife preserves, grape vineyards and beautiful lakes. Water is in abundance with five lakes lending an ever-present element of danger. The lighted practice area features a driving range with target greens as well as a putting green. The Vineyard at Escondido can be highly unforgiving of errant shots and infinitely rewarding of good ones.

Is it American Golf's fault that there are fivesomes and foursomes waiting at a tee for a threesome to finish a hole?

Come on... a fivesome?

Bunkers on the back 9 were horrible!

Other than that, The Vineyard is an decent place to play but paying the green fees aren't. Get a tee online and save a ton of money!

The Vineyard of Escondido is a nice course to play during the week. Play can be slow on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon. Overall, this is a golfer friendly course with plenty of birdie and eagle opportunities. Vineyard Tee Times
