Goldsboro Municipal Golf CourseGoldsboro, North Carolina - (919) 735-0411 www.gmgcgolf.com The Goldsboro Golf Course, built in 1941, was completely renovated in 1999 and reopened as the Goldsboro Municipal Golf Course in April, 2000, hosting the third annual Clarence Rose Golfing Fore Kids Pro-Am Tournament. During the renovations, renowned golf course architect John LaFoy worked diligently to maintain the traditional style of the layout, noting that the course was "reminiscent of the many fine old Donald Ross layouts scattered throughout North Carolina." The renovated course features large bent grass greens which average over 6,000 square feet each, 419 bermuda fairways, concrete cart paths throughout, a full service pro shop with the best selection of merchandise in the area, snack bar and grill, and a friendly and qualified staff to help golfers of every skill level. The course includes a collection of the best short par 4 holes to be found anywhere, as well as some of the most challenging par threes. Four sets of tees provide a true test of golf for everyone, from beginners to low handicappers. Course Details
