This course used to be a treat to play. The greens were awesome and the fairways were always in great shape. Did I say "used to"?

This place is in terrible shape. The heat has destroyed what used to be a great course. They still charge the $69.00 regular rate, knowing that the product they have out there is absolute SH!T. I have seen better greens at a county putt-putt track then here. Stay away!

Greens and fairways in good shape. However, for a high handicapper the forced ravine carries, non-level lies and uphill greens take most of the fun from the course (IMO).

I feel cheated. When you pay in-season rates, you expect an in-season course. Unfortunately, CR is in poor shape these days, due to the warm summer we have experienced. While I can certainly sympathize, I can't understand two things: 1) Why continue to charge your standard rates when you KNOW that the course is in poor shape and 2) Why wouldn't you tell someone who is paying standard rates that although you continue to charge them the full in-season rate, the course in fact is not in "in-season" shape??? After the first poor green, you think – this sucks, it’s a shame this green is in such bad shape, I hope it comes back soon. After the second poor green, you think - wow, a second one in bad shape, hope there isn't many more like this. After the third green, you think - WHY IN THE HELL, AM I PAYING FULL RATE FOR A COURSE IN THIS TYPE OF SHAPE???

I understand, aeration happens, I can accept it must be done. I can accept a green or two may be affected by extreme heat of a region. What I can't understand is a reputable course employing shady tactics of charging full price with the knowledge of these playing conditions. I did 36 holes that day, I was there, I was committed. I will not be visiting CR again anytime soon. Yes, the course will probably bounce back @ some point in the fall. I just don't appreciate the dishonesty. I would have played the course anyway - even if they had told me that the greens had taken a beating. I'm not looking for a $25 discount or anything crazy. Just a few bucks off and some disclosure would have gone a LONG way with me. It wasn’t just the greens either. They were just the most offensive of the poor conditions.

Course is currently in terrible shape. The constant heat this summer is definitely hurting the course which is normally in great shape.

Great golf course. Very challenging and a lot of blind shots. Some of the tee boxes and greens were in rough shape. Look forward to playing the course again.
