Hudson Hills is a 7,000 yard, par 71 championship golf course that takes full advantage of its setting in the Hudson River Valley. Perched atop the first tee, golfers are treated to a beautiful vista, with nearly one third of the golf course in view.
Golfers can choose to play from any of the four sets of tees, measuring from 5,100 yards to nearly 7,000 yards, in order to create a golf experience that matches their unique skill level and playing style. Regardless of skill level, Hudson Hills rewards players who favor strategy over sheer distance.
Water hazards come into play on over seventy percent of the golf holes and environmentally protected lands line the track reinforcing the importance of club selection and accuracy in achieving textbook pars.

Hudson Hills is a difficult course, but not overly so. It is very scenic, with river views. The problem is the pace of play, which is abysmal, and the value, which is not great.

not a bad place to play. this was all redone a few years back in the "new style". protected area, lots of forced carry. Its much more expensive than the other westchestr muni courses, and they force you to take a cart. conditions always seem to be good though.

Nice course but just too expensive for a place that lacks so many facilities like a driving range. Some holes just seem unplayable like 17. Where did its fairway go?

The course was in good shape for early May. The greens were recently punched but they still rolled fairly well. The rough was a little deep making it difficult to find your ball if you ventured off the fairway.
The couse has very few flat lies in the fairway which can make it very challenging. Many of the greens are difficult to see from the Tee and fairway making local knowledge very valuable.
Our group did not play from the back tees and we felt the course still had plenty of length from the green tees.
The cart path only rule added 45 minutes to our round. Don't expect to get in a round in less then 5 hours.
The onboard cart GPS is always a nice touch.
The Staff was friendly and helpful.
Great course if you don't mind the heafty $115 non-county resident greens fee.

Part of the Billy Casper group of managed courses, bit expensive for what it was $85 (winter rates), greens very fast, fairways tight. You have to think yourself around this course and not just blast with your driver. Good asortment of holes, downhill and uphill holes with fairways with very few level lies.
Royce Brook in NJ far better value and a better experience, would go back in the summer though to see if its better, as we all know what a course in the northeast is like just after winter.
