I played a golf course today that is 163 years old, and I didn't have to go to Scotland to do it. I played the Monterey Country Club. 9 holes setup Scottish Links style. They pride themselves on keeping it authentic to 1850. Tiny, slow greens. The fairways' grass is cut to about 3/4 of an inch. Had to hit a tee shot through a 10 yard wide tree opening about 40 yards in front of the tee. It was great. Only $10 dollars and I had no one in front of me. I swear all I needed was a kilt, some sheep running around, and an Ale at the end.

Finally got to play the course today. It is $8 to walk as much as you want! It is not the greatest course by far, but it is cool to play a piece of history.
