We played in late early October, the rough was too rough in m opinion, fairways and greens were decent. Scenery was awesome with some good elevation changes to the shots.

Course was in really good shape. The greens and fairways were great, but the rough was a bit rough. They were in the process of mowing when I was there. My guess is because of the heat, they let it grow out a bit. Tough to find balls at times if they rolled (flew) into it. Played 54 holes for $49! You cant beat it!

Fun course. Lots of variety in holes - open, tight, flat, MAJOR elevation changes, etc. Some very good deals to be found and management has some fun with promotions.

Great course. golfnow has $50 all day rate (saves you $15). Course was in good shape. Greens had some brown spots, but the ball still rolled true. Course is a great layout. Some open holes, some tight holes and the Par 5's are fun. One of the best layouts / values in the area. Played on 100 degree day, ranger was around all day with cold towels.

Great Course I love how true the greens are.

Overall, this is a very nice course to play. However, two recent trips have left me disappointed in the conditions. There are numerous places in the fairway where bare dirt exists. They have simply cordoned off the area instead of fixing it. Also, the greens are in horrible condition. They are really soft and even chips are leaving divots. This results in pockmarks everywhere and bumpy putts. It also looks like they had some equipment malfunctions on a few of them because you could see a straight line where perhaps gas leaked onto the green killing the grass. On one green there was a tire mark from something being driven on the green.
The hospitality is excellent here and they do their best to keep things moving. You often see a ranger riding around. The last time I was there they had a MD/VA tourney and we waited 20 minutes at the turn to play #10. Ended up going to the front 9 again - and here I thought even pros had to follow a pace of play.
The layout is a nice. My favorite is the front 9 holes 4 - 8. It appears housing will be built around the course, but isn't cropping up fast due to economic conditions. So, come play here while there are still wooded areas around to enjoy.
