Played a 2nd time. Course is tough enough without a hurricane passing through. High rough makes shot making a premium. Very good course and a lot a different looks from other courses. This is a great course. I have been a fan of the course designer for some time. If you don't have your A game you may want to play elsewhere. The spray painted signs on the cart paths need to go away. They cheapen a great course with an even better club house. Very tough course and it was awesome I enjoyed every minute of it. Real nice views and the course was in excellent condition I can't wait to play it again I play this course at least 10 times a year. After playing this course 2 or 3 times expect to shoot 5-15 strokes better. Tough courses require better course management, and this one is one of my favorite, although the costs have gone up over the years. They do have a frequent flyer card giving a free round after buying 5. Plus free birthday rounds if you sign up for it. I am not a 10 handicap and still am amazed by this course. Every tee box I approach I say this is my favorite hole. I can't believe FIVE PONDS has a better rating than this course. This course is an amazing test of golf. Carved out of the side of Morgan Hill in Easton, it affords a view of the entire Lehigh valley. The course is long and tight and you need to place your shots in order to score. Wind is a factor as there's little to no protection anywhere on the course. If you're above a 10 handicap i would recommend the forward (red) tees. The food in the restaurant is outstanding, and there's always someone to help with your bag at the drop. One downside is playing time. 5 hours is the norm because it's such a hard course. Also, invest in a yardage book. There's a lot of blind shots out there. Extremely difficult course for most people. A lot of people out there today that shouldn't be playing there. Severe elevation changes and blind shots make this course more frustrating than it should be. It's in good shape but the contours in the greens make it almost impossible to get the ball close. Greens are not overly fast but not slow either. Very much a target golf course and some holes resemble a ski slope rather than a golf hole. Not sure if I'll return here. If you are higher than a 10 handicap, avoid at all costs. The course rating and slope do this course no justice. There are mounds and hills on and around every green, and elevation drops on every single hole, some more severe than others. The greens were slower than normal. The pace of play was horrible and the "Player's Assistant" doesn't do a damn thing. There are too many people playing this course who just don't have the skill set to play well and play at a normal pace. Have played this course a number of times. Very difficult with heavy slope, many blind shots and hazards throughout. The challenge keeps me going back. Great Course! Very tough the first time around. Greens are impeccable and VERY difficult (but fun). This course kicked my a** but I am looking forward to a second crack at it. Course is much too difficult for beginner and higher handicap golfers. Fairways are very hilly and sloped. Greens are large but also very difficult Your Review
