This new course is a very well designed, very well maintained layout, carved out of a very large tract of old growth forest. There are several large (up to 80 acres) water features, but not really coming into play on many holes. The greens are large and roll very true. The fairways are wide, with a generous, relatively short cut rough. But if you stray from the "beaten path" you could be in for a long day. This new course is a very well designed, very well maintained layout, carved out of a very large tract of old growth forest. There are several large (up to 80 acres) water features, but not really coming into play on many holes. The greens are large and roll very true. The fairways are wide, with a generous, relatively short cut rough. But if you stray from the "beaten path" you could be in for a long day. It is a very fair course, but also very challenging, especially from the back tees. With OB or lateral hazards pretty much the full length on every hole on both sides, errant tee shots will give you big numbers. Course management is a must here. It is a great course that I would recommend to anybody, and will play it as much as I can before it goes private (when nearby housing development is finished).
