Cedar Knob Golf Course was designed by Geoffrey Cornish and built in 1963. From start to finish, tall cedars lend a dramatic backdrop to most fairways. Especially memorable are the 10th and 18th holes. Both bend right to left through stately evergreens and call for forced water carries off the tees or on the approach.
Cedar Knob provides a blend of unique holes and risk/reward opportunities which will make for an enjoyable experience at all levels of play.

Excellent greens; but the fairways are kept quite high. Tough to control irons as the grass is thick and large-bladed.
Trees have been trimmed back on several holes, but they encroach the playing areas on a few holes still, notably on #7 and #17.
Number 7 is about the worst hole I have ever played as for design as it makes no sense at all. I call it the "brick wall" hole, as one has no option on the second shot unless one has hit their drive in a small area from where one can go for ther green in two shots. If not; one must "chip" the ball to another small area. Stupidest hole I have ever played and I have been playing for over 40 years.
