The Champions Club at SummerfieldStuart, Florida - (772) 283-1500 www.championsclubsummerfield.com Champion's Club was named one of Golf Magazine's Top Ten New Public Courses when it opened in late 1994 and was the first public course awarded Audubon Signature Sanctuary status. If there's an award for Comeback Course of the Year for 2005, the Champion's Club at Summerfield's certainly a nominee. Under new ownership since mid-year, Superintendent Jay Pacholczak and his staff have resodded the greens with new Tifdwarf Bermuda and generally spruced up and cleaned out this vintage Tom Fazio layout, restoring it to its "natural" state around and along 275 acres of protected wetlands and nature preserve. A rarity in Florida golf, The Champion's Club doesn't have any homes encroaching on play and still has very few parallel holes. This "everglades" ambience is enhanced with sandhill cranes, otters, foxes and deer you'll likely see during your round of golf. Course Details
