This course is positioned as a respite from the $$ of Bandon Dunes Resort, and a place you can play with a powercart. It is that and what is more - a fine course. But. It is in Bandon and that fact cannot be ignored. I'd take it over Bandon Trails cuz Trails is tough and expensive and Trails 13 and 14 greens belong next to a Wendy's and a Motel 8 . . . tho I did love Trails 1, 11, 17, 18. Did not like Xings blind drives/approaches -- thot that design trick was perhaps overdone. Perfectly nice, rolling inland course and I have to say if I had played a little better, I probably would be lining up for more. If I lived there, I'd play Crossings and Shorty's a lot (Shorty's is free) and save up my paper route money to play BD as a treat. The endorsement of many of the BD caddies can't be overlooked, cuz those guys can mostly PLAY.

Heard great things about this course from the Bandon Dune caddies. Overall, it was really pretty. First hole and second holes are fairly nice but not a particularly special start. Starting from hole 4 the course starts to really shine. Holes 6 through 14 are really special. It's like a Bandon Trails, just not as epic, but still with very special views and landscapes.

I only played 9 holes with my Uncle on a Tuesday Morning. Not many players on the course and My uncle's treat so I gave a good rating to Pace of play and value.

The North Nine: Holes 1 Through 5 and Holes 15 Through 18 = Par 37

First round of golf in over 5 years. Had a very nice time.
