Twelve holes involve a water challenge, with six holes bordering the Housatonic River, and the winds that are intrinsic to the location.
The front nine weave through wooded terrain, the back nine exhibit a links style course.
On the front nine you will travel over one of fourteen wooden bridges as you approach the green of the sixth, Great River's signature hole. The backdrop of six is the river; with a fifty-foot stone wall surrounding the left side of the green.
A thirty-foot waterfall cascades just off the eleventh hole, making it a rewarding and challenging 218 yards.
