While the club dates to about 1907, the first nine holes of this course date to 1921 and a design by the legendary Alister Mackenzie; the second nine opened one year later. This par 69 semi-moorland course is not long at 5,888 yards, but features some of Dr. Mackenzie's famous two-tiered greens.
Bury GC is located between Whitefield and Bury on the A56, about five minutes north of junction 17 of the M60 ring road. Visitors are welcome; the walking rates are £18 weekdays and £21 weekends.
