Pannal, J7 HG3 1ES, United Kingdom
Pannal Golf Club was founded in 1906, while the first nine holes opened in 1906. Then in 1908, the course was completely redesigned and extended to 18 holes by 1902 Open champion Sandy Herd. Then in 1933, a redesign was submitted by Sir Guy Campbell and Major C.A. Mackenzie; it is that design that remains today. The club purchased the course from the 7th Earl of Harewood in September 1950.
Pannal was one of the earliest hosts of the English Ladies Championship (1927); they have also hosted the English PGA Matchplay, PGA Seniors, Ladies Amateur Championship, the British Youths, the EGU Logan Trophy, and more recently the North of England Under 16 Championship.
Visitors are welcome; the summer walking rates are £60/round or £70/day on weekdays, then £75/round on weekends and bank holidays.
