Dubsdread Golf CourseOrlando, Florida - 407-246-2551 www.dubsdreadgolf.com Located just minutes from downtown Orlando, Dubsdread Golf Course features the oldest public layout in the area, originally designed in 1923. This classic course has plenty of history attached to it as the former site of the Orlando Open, when it hosted such golf legends as Sam Snead, Ben Hogan and Claude Harmon. Today, golfers are treated to the same beautiful scenery and challenges of the original course, including narrow fairways and heavily bunkered, "postage stamp" style greens. A full restaurant and bar complete the ultimate golfing experience. Course Details Scorecard Reviews/Comments The newly restructured, redesigned and restored Dubsdread Golf Course is a now an absolute must play! The once flat fairways are beautifully sculpted with rolling hills, berms and dune-like mounds and swales reminiscent of a Scottish links style course. There are many more water hazards than before and the course now plays to a par of 70. All of the greens have been rebuilt and reformed to perfection, with clever bunkering adding to the challenge of scoring well. As I played my round today, after days of heavy local rains, the greens were hard to hold and were rolling very quick and quite true. Course drainage has improved by leaps and bounds and as has the talent of the maintenance crew. They're doing a great job. The new and improved Dubsdread Golf Course is truly impressive. 5 Stars!
