Canterbury, G5 CT1 1TW, United Kingdom
This heathland course opened in July of 1927 with a design by the very notable architect Harry S. Colt, who also designed Wentworth at the same time. The course still plays largely the same as in Colt's era. Canterbury Golf Club is situated 1/2 mile from the centre of this historic cathedral city, in the east of Kent.
A new practice range is open to the public, along with a bar and restaurant, and a well-stocked pro shop.
Visitors are welcome; the standard walking rates are £40 on weekdays, then £55 on weekends (carts are £25). Sliding twilight, county card, reciprocal, and guest-of-member rates are available, as are memberships. Societies are also welcome with prior arrangement.
