Ponkapoag Golf Course

Donald Ross designed the first course here in 1936; the facility now has a junior golf academy and practice facility to go along with three courses. The standard walking rates are $27 on Mondays through Thursdays, then $30 on Fridays, weekends, and holidays (carts are $32).

Cheap but condition was brutal

Shockingly bad. Sand pits on the greens. Seriously. Horrendous. Last time I played there it took about 4 hours to play nine holes.

The course is in bad shape from poor drainage, but it has a nice layout and a fair price considering its condition. The back nine is a lot nicer and in better shape than the front.
