My name is Cady Hansen, and I am the mother of someone who attended a sweet 16 held at the Mills Pond Country Club. I am flat out appalled at the "professional" behavior supposedly performed tonight. My daughter is 15, tuning 16 within the next year, and we were considering having her party at the Mills Pond Country Club, however after out experience tonight, that is absolutely not the case. After repeatedly telling my daughter and her friend "to act their age" the only thing I had to say to them was I suggest they take a look at themselves and there employees and think back to a time when they were there age. The way they spoke to them, combined with the way they treated them, (not letting them speak on the phone outside, or speak with other friends of theres) ultimately lead me to conclude that they are not worthy of having me as a customer anyway, and perhaps my daughter should have called the police on them. She had nothing in her bag, and even told them they could check it, and yet they still refused to give it to her. You want to tell me they had a right to do that? Bullshit. I am simply not afraid to stand up for my daughter, and more importantly, what is right. If they had asked nicely for them to leave the premises, I can assure you they would have done so in a highly respectful manner. However, with the attitude given to them, and the immense amount of disrespect shown, I can truthfully say I would have done the exact same thing that they had. Also, don't you dare act like I don't know what "really" went on, for my intelligent daughter had me on the phone the entire time, so I heard everything. All of the nonsense regarding the fact that my daughter and her friend "ruined" the guests night, along with the idea that they weren't allowed outside, truly makes me wonder about how much trust is instilled in a 16 year old. Clearly not much, hence the apparent rebellion portrayed. I hope they are ashamed of there behavior this evening and understand the consequences of such actions. They have just lost a customer, along with her entire 50 person family.

The links-style Mill Pond Golf Course is a Brookhaven township public facility but it could easily be mistaken as private country club. This course gets 5 stars from me in every category. The course has an excellent 18-hole layout. The outstanding course maintenance keeps the greens faster then you would expect from a public course. The Starter, Ranger, Cart Manager, Kitchen & wait staff are all eager and courteous. All the golf carts include GPS systems and the Greens Fees for 18 holes are low and what you would expect at a public course.
