I've heard a lot of negative things about this course but did not see much of it when I came here for the first time this past Saturday. We started later in the day (3pm) and the course was crowded and just a tad slow.

From everything I've heard, the course was demolished when run by the local municipality. I was told by a pro there that a new company now runs it. The greens are extremely nice, smooth and fast. The fairways are in very good shape too. The tee areas are nice as well. The cart paths are still in a little bit of bad shape but I was told those will be worked on in the coming months.

The marshall/starter may seem a little surly but he was very helpful and even recovered a pitching wedge for me that I had left on another hole. Evidently the course is in the midst of a subdivision. I think they have had trouble with locals coming on and playing a round without paying for it. So, they require a receipt as soon as you come up to first hole to tee off.

I am again a little disappointed in the trend that most of the local golf courses are headed into with this "no personal coolers" rule. I like to bring a couple of gatorades and maybe some chips with me. If I want a few beers while I'm out there, I don't mind ordering them from the bar/cart but I hate being told I have to. I think it's an artificial way to make money. As long as a place does this, I'll continue to order the minimum and then place my extra stuff in their cooler. It's just a bad way to do business.

Other than this, it's a great place to play. The scenery is not THE greatest but honestly, I think it's pretty good. I'll come back and play.
