Each year new improved balls and clubs tend to reduce scores and take away the old challenges; however, the Championship Course's 7570 yds. (Black Tees), twelve lakes, fifty-two sand traps, eleven grass bunkers, eight thousand trees and shrubs, tend to bring equality back to the game. The North course, designed to accommodate the less skilled and not so serious golfer, offers the advantages associated with the multiple tee concepts. But from the back tees it can be a formidable challenge as there are forty-six sand traps, fifty-seven grass hills and bumps, four thousand ten-year old trees, and seven fairways with some very threatening water hazards.
