one of the best of the Billy Casper managed courses. greens were in really good shape, very puttable. nice to have a nearly 7,000 yard course to play at a reasonable price without going to the way south side.

Had not played this course in 10 years. Only took two holes to remember why. Slow play. I know that we all have to start somewhere though. Course is in good shape.

VERY slow. 5 1/2 hour round as tee times were backed up a half-hour, and then we waited for at least 5 min on every tee box. even worse, there was not a single ranger out on the course to remind golfers to keep pace.

Other sources list a point in Streamwood as the highest point in Cook County. It is strange that an absolute has so many claims. http://www.isgs.uiuc.edu/education/hi-low/cook.shtml

Course wasn't too bad. Definitely good for a forest preserve course. But it took us 5 hours to play. Teed of at 10am on a Sunday. It's a fairly generous course. I was able to tie my personal best score without playing very well at all.

To play 18 holes on a Saturday in Chicago in less than 4.5 hours is a rare feat. Granted it was still late April and our tee time was at 8am, but still we were never pressured from behind nor did we have to wait at any point in the round. And $41 to walk is pretty reasonable for a decent course. There are four sets of tees from which to choose, so the course can be as challenging as you want it to be.
