What a shame! This place has such potential. So, one of our group received an email advertising that the fairways have been over planted with new grass. Well, they might have performed the over planting, but it doesn't show. I wish I could post pictures, here. I'll tell you what, for $41 during the summer, this is not a very good option! The greens are still in good shape, not as fast as they have been, and they are starting to get weed spots. We will not be returning anytime soon.

I never played the course prior to the redesign so I can't comment on upgrades or if it's better now. I can say though I was pleasantly surprised with many aspects of the course and the staff.
First the clubhouse is kind of shabby, but once you get to the starter he gives you the lay of the land and the course is outfitted with apples, water, and a bucket of balls on 10 once you make the turn (you'll be happy to swipe a few).
The course itself plays great. I think it's a great layout, a lot of water, target golf, and windy. You really have to think your way around the course and the closer you are to the greens the more it plays like a links course. The greens are super undulated and walking away with par is like getting a birdie. I was lucky to have a few birdie opportunities and it felt like stealing when you get one to drop. It can be a fun course to play, but an even better course to challenge yourself, and improve your game.
The fairways and greens were in pretty good shape when I played. There were some patches where it was poorly manicured, but better than many courses I've played in the area.

I like what they have done with the greens with lots of undulations. I was surprised to see the amount of bare and sandy patches on the fairways as this course was supposed to be recently renovated. Still was not bad and the back nine was better than the front.

If anyone had played Arrowhead prior to the rebuilding and modeling of Davie Golf and Country Club, you can immediately see a difference in course conditions. The fairways are well groomed, tee boxes kept nice, and greens very challenging. If you are looking to improve your putting, this course will give you a run for your money. Greens are very slopey which adds to the difficulty. I reccommend this course to all golfers.
