The original 18-hole course was designed by Frank MacDonald and debuted in 1929. The course was completely redesigned by architect Arthur Hills and re-opened in 1990. One reason Orchard Ridge is notable is because the course hosted the first-ever LPGA Championship in 1955.
An adjacent apple orchard was the inspiration for the club's name. Four lakes are in play on this gently rolling, 120-acre course.

Peaceful and beautiful. More forgiving that most of the nicer courses in the area, but definitely more challenging than the cheaper venues.
Many memorable holes.
I only wish the halfway house was open later or that there was a cart girl more often. The beer must flow!
