Golf Digest gave it a nomination for "America's Best New Course of 1992" and with good reason. The Lee Schmitt design is Pete Dye inspired. Schmitt makes good use of railroad ties and bulkheads around the many bayou waterways that intersect the layout. The course is a worthy adversary to even scratch golfers from the "tips," but play a manageable 6,261 yards from the regular men's tees.
