11501 Old Prospect Hill Rd Glenn Dale, MD 20769-9427 www.GlennDaleGolfClub.com 301.262.1166 This course was originally a George Cobb design that opened in 1958 as Prospect Hill Country Club. The Shields family later bought the course and have since modified Cobb's design to include more trees and bunkers, along with different tee-boxes. While this is a shorter-than-normal course, it is challenging enough that they have hosted U.S. Open and Mid-Amateur qualifying here, along with MAPGA and junior tournaments. The peak walking rates are $30 weekdays and $59 weekends; carts are $32. Members, seniors, and juniors receive varying discounts, as do Prince Georges County police and fire personnel, and military members. Course Details

Great course that I only have played on a few trips to Maryland. Not too long but very challanging. Lots of doglegs both left and right and the greens are FAST. Glenn Dale is one of the best values in the area. It is not overly challenging from the back tees, and very enjoyable. Compared to other courses in it's price range (~$50 per round) I think it is in much better shape. The greens are well-maintained and pace of play is usually not an issue. There are some long, difficult holes (#3 and #16) and some quirky holes (#17 and #18), but overall, this course is very enjoyable. My favorite course in the area. Your Review
