Kenwood Golf and Country Club is a private club with a select membership of approximately sixteen hundred. It has been in continuous existence since 1928. The facilities, covering many acres of rolling Maryland countryside located in Bethesda, Maryland six miles from the White House, are surrounded by fine residential properties. Included are an irrigated 18 hole golf course, two Olympic size swimming pools and a wading pool, twenty tennis courts, eight duck pin bowling lanes, fitness area, an ever-expanding clubhouse and a guest house containing forty-five comfortable, well-appointed bedrooms with bath, television, and telephone. All buildings are completely air-conditioned for year-round comfort and protected for safety by automatic sprinklers. Club efforts are directed toward family participation and enjoyment, with special interest paid to junior activities which include golf, tennis, swimming and bowling.
