This is an awesome course. Designed by the finest New England course designer, Cornish, this a challenging course that will test your game. It is a must play if you live in the area.
The greens are the true gem of this 18-hole track. On more than one hole, 3-putting is a success. The holes a varied and force you to strategize. Many holes appear to have a wide-open driving area, but soon you find out that one side of the fairway is far better than the other. The rough is thick and penalizing. The greens vary in size, but have severe slopes and subtle breaks. You have to know what side of the green and hole to have your ball. (This means plan on playing the course twice. Once to learn it, and once to play it.)
This course is open to the public after 1 O'Clock for $50. It is worth that price and more. Plus, the membership costs are amazing, and the members themselves are very friendly and encouraging of the public to play there.
