Last Saturday, we golfed at the Bayou for the first time. Bob, the Pro Shop manager explained the course to us and made us feel welcomed. The course was in good shape and offered many different types of golfing challenges. Afterward we had lunch in the clubhouse which has a great atmosphere. A well kept golf secret in Mid Michigan. I would advise anyone to check it out! In response to Kbaluha. I was there that day, but had to interrupt my round because a sixsome would not let us play through. While I was in the club house with my wife, the leader of this sixsome came in and announced that he could golf a sixsome because he paid his money like everyone else and always golfs with six and nobody ever said anything to him. Well save your money and buy a book on golf etiquette, and if you don,t come back, thank you. I witnessed the guy behind the counter telling this guy to break up into two threesomes. Whereupon he was called a jerk. We have always enjoyed the Bayou. always well maintained and friendly. The only thing that would make it bad is to allow "jerks" like Kbaluha to golf here. You've got to be kidding, Blazer052 is clearly the owner, the staff, especially the guy working July 31, is a jerk and very rude. His unprofessional attitude will keep us from ever playing this poorly maintained, sub par course again. GO SOMEWHERE THAT TREATS YOU COURTEOUSLY AND REALLY WANTS YOUR BUSINESS, I will and so will all my friends. The Bayou is a good ole down home type of course that gives even the average golfer a fair number of chances for par and even the occasional birdie. It’s not the most challenging course, or even the most scenic, but every time I find myself passing through mid-Michigan I make it a point to stop and play this course a time or two. I have played more courses than I care to count (east coast, midwest, Hawaii, etc) but there is just something about this course that I really like. Perhaps it’s the fact that it isn’t too difficult, you can be out on a well maintained course surrounded by trees, and just play the game. I guess , for me at least, there is just something pure about playing a round at this course. On top of this being a fun little course, the staff are as friendly as can be and it has a warm little club house for hanging out after your round. Your Review
