Very interesting course. Front 9 is an old-school design, lots of short Par 4s, but many of them are very tight. Trees everywhere.
Back 9 is LONG. Several par 4s in the 470 range, and par 5s that are just not reachable in two, even for long hitters. Definitely a contrast from the front nine. One hole in particular was quite strange, number 16. There is literally a huge tree right between the blue tees and the fairway. Not sure what they are thinking there... the only line you have around the tree is either a huge hook or going right of the tree into deep grass and... more trees. Go left of the tree and you're in the creek. I guess you could hit a 9-iron over it and be left with 200+ yards for a second shot into a raised green. I don't really consider that a fair tee shot for any course, much less a rural public course.
Greens are bent, and roll pretty well. Very small though, so don't expect to have many birdie putts. Lots of short birdie chips.
