The Paiute Resort lies at the base of the Spring Mountains, with three excellent Pete Dye courses. "Snow Mountain" is the original 18 here and includes some of the Dye-trademark bunkers decorated with railroad ties. "Sun Mountain" was the second 18 to open and is described as a 'kinder, gentler Dye design.' "Wolf" is the newest 18, and is advertised by the club as being the longest course in Nevada, at 7,604 yards from the tips.
This attractive golf resort is owned and operated by the Las Vegas Tribe of Southern Paiute Indians, and is located 27 miles north of the Las Vegas strip.

Played this course in a Golf Channel Amateur Major event. Excellent greens that roll true, a good test of tee to green.

Awesome place to play golf. Marshals are adept at keeping a fast pace.

First time golfing in Las Vegas...July 07, 2013
This is such a beautiful course. Enjoyed a wonderful time. Tee boxes, fairways, rough, fringe and greens were very well kept. Luckily it was not that hot
Fairways...lots of undulation but nicely mowed and short grass
Traps are easy to get out of. I was in a few of them
Rough are under 1" in the 1st cut while 2-3" in the 2nd cut. Not too bad to get out from.
Greens were re-seed not too long ago I think since you will find that the grass are growing in. Thus, making them a bit slower than usual from what I've heard from other golfers
Hole #15 (Island Green), Par 3, Yellow Tee-145yds...stuck it in the middle and two-putts for par. It was very intimating with mild head wind made this hole much tougher to play. Overall, it was the best First time experience golfing in Vegas. Most definitely will come back and try the other two courses...Snow & Sun
Two Thumbs UP on the conditions and well mannered staffs @ Las Vegas Paiute Golf Resort

a very nice course to play

The Sun Mountain course provided one of the best golf outings we've had in Las Vegas. The only concern was the wind (8 mph/23 gust), but during the spring season that's to be expected. The staff is the among the friendliest we've encountered. Despite a TERRIBLE day on the course, I look forward to another round at the Las Vegas Paiute Resort!

Love the course. Greens were hard (wouldn't hold) but I think it's pretty typical for time of year. Would go back.

Actually Hospitality should be 0 or even negative: old cart "girl" stopped only on the 8th hole and we saw her after just once. On the website they clearly state that the rate has free replay, but the club house jerk refused to honor it even i showed it to them on their web site. Highly overrated - the are many courses closer to the strip that will provide better experience, better condition of the course and better hospitality for the same price (less then $99, which was totaly not worse it)

Played Sun Mountain one day and Wolf the next. Great deal on giving you a 20% discount if you play a second course within a certain period of time. Many courses on Las Vegas area are overseeded and cart path only this time of year. With three courses to choose from Paiute does a great job in keeping courses open without the overseeding problem. Wolf was longer and more challenging than Sun Mountain and course in great shape. Greens were true and with little break and consistent speed. While out in the middle of nowhere, the course is easy to get to from LV and worth the trip. Would recommend to any golfer visiting Las Vegas.

Great course. Immaculate course conditions. Scenery is great. Wind is tough. Definitely not "gimmicky", but the fairways are undulated as Pete Dye loves them to be.

I played Wolf and thought it was amazing. Possibly the best conditioned course I have ever played. The views are incredible; I wanted to take a picture on every tee box. If sun and snow are on par with this course, it has to be one of the finest 54 hole facilities in America. The twighlight fee was very reasonable and downright cheap for what you normally pay in Vegas. I thought the coure was very straightforward. The hazards were all in view from the tee or at least you could see them on the in cart GPS. The only "gimmicky" hole that I found was the Island Green 15th, but it was fun nonetheless. The crew was extremely courteous and helpful. I would reccomend Paiute Wolf to anyone. My new favorite course in Vegas!
